RIA Annual Conference

Date:

Location:

The Landmark Hotel 222 Marylebone Rd Marylebone London NW1 6JQ

The Railway Industry Association’s (RIA) Annual Conference is a highlight of the industry calendar, bringing together RIA Members of all sizes with clients, decision makers, influencers and policy makers for a day of informative discussions and networking.

This year’s Conference focuses on the theme of “Growing a sustainable rail industry in uncertain times”. With the UK preparing to leave the EU in March 2019, a new Control Period approaching and Government’s challenge to decarbonise and digitalise, it is a crucial time for the sector.

For the rail industry, navigating the risks and opportunities these changes bring will be vital in ensuring businesses can continue to grow and develop. What are the challenges and opportunities we will face in the coming years? What can we do to succeed and develop as the political and industry landscape changes? And what are the risks that we need to avoid?

This year’s conference will see a number of senior players across UK rail taking part, including Transport Secretary Chris Grayling, Shadow Transport Secretary Andy McDonald, Network Rail Chief Executive Andrew Haines, National Infrastructure Commission Chair Sir John Armitt, Crossrail Chairman Sir Terry Morgan, Porterbrook Chief Executive Officer Mary Grant and Transport for the North Chief Executive Barry White. The conference will be moderated by Transport Times Chief Executive David Begg.

The RIA Annual Conference provides the opportunity to understand just how businesses can thrive in uncertain times.

Come and visit us on the UKRRIN stand to learn more about our initiatives and how you can partner with us to grow a sustainable rail industry.
